Let me introduce myself. My name is Marshall Duggs. I recently purchased a vintage cottage in Carmel Woods with the help of Noni McVey. In reflecting on the home purchase several things really stood out about Noni: her patience, vision, extensive local contacts, and in depth local market knowledge of the Monterey Peninsula. In the end, this proved to be invaluable in the home buying process. With that said I proudly recommend Noni McVey to be your next real estate agent.
Like all home buyers I had these common issues: (1) Getting financing in a tight credit environment, (2) Asking myself if now is the right time to buy?, (3) Choosing the right home and location. (4) Valuing the home correctly after factoring all the updates and comparable home analysis. (5) Making updates to the home and finding local contractors with strong references. Despite numerous setbacks, ranging from delays to getting credit approval to walking away from the 1st home purchase, she stayed with me through the end to get me my dream home. When others would have walked away she stayed with me even though it took me over a year until I qualified for a jumbo mortgage. Following approval we then worked on my 1st home purchase in Monterey for 3 months but I backed out at the very end. However; Noni, with her patience, stayed with me and continued to work with me. She listened to what I wanted in a home and then gave me a clear overview of the differences in property markets across the peninsula and put together a portfolio of homes that interested me. She helped me value the home after factoring all the subtleties and intricacies of the Carmel market that a less experienced agent would have failed to consider. With that said, Noni provided indepth insight over and beyond what other agents eager to complete a transaction and book commission would have provided. She high-lighted the additional dividend of Carmel's strong public school system relative to other localities, explained the significance of property's relative location on its market value, factored in home improvements into price, outlined negotiating strategies, and also recommended updates that should be made to improve the home along with a host of local contacts to assist me. Looking back, she turned an experience that's typically frustrating into a truly rewarding experience by greatly simplifying the home-buying process and adding insight and value along the way, thereby making it a truly memorable experience.

I contacted Noni after doing a web search for Realtors in the Monterey area. Her website was very informative for someone who is not familiar with the area. I made that first phone call and knew she was the person we wanted for our real estate needs.
My husband made a brief trip to Monterey and Noni drove him around the neighborhoods to view prospective homes to purchase.We decided to put a purchase on hold pending the sale of our home in Florida. So started our long term rental search. Since we were unable to view the properties ourselves Noni videotaped the homes we were interested in and gave us a full description of the house and location. She promptly answered all communications to us while we were living in Germany.
As a Realtor her focus is helping clients buy and sale properties; however, she took time from her business to help us find a rental property. She went above and beyond. This is the type of agent we want when purchasing a home. I could write a book about how highly we recommend Noni for your real estate needs.

My name is Anisha and I would like to take some time to extend my
appreciation for Noni McVey, who recently helped us find our new home in
Carmel.
My husband and I were in search of a rental property several months ago
when we chanced across Noni. She was very professional, courteous and
smart. Immediately we knew she would be our realtor!
What is so outstanding about Noni is her patience and the fact that she
listens to the needs and wants of her clients. She always kept me on
track as I wavered on deciding upon the right home for us. As the
housing market continued plummeting and slowed down our buying decision,
Noni patiently walked us through every other home that we desired to
view.
Noni "cares". She brought to us newspaper clippings, local news - just
anything that would be relevant and of interest to us as home buyers. I
doubt if many realtors do so. She responded to every email and phone
call of mine...no matter how late in the night.
Noni is very meticulous and does a great job of following through till
the very end....and beyond. While she successfully completed all our
home buying tasks and paperwork, she also did little things that made
our lives so much easier....such as breaking open some locks that had no
keys, getting us a list of utility company and other services phone
numbers. Noni would make herself available for every remodeling
appointment I scheduled at the home prior to closing. While I felt I
was being a burden to her, she kept reminding me politely that is her
job. She has been so wonderful.
Crossing all t's and dotting all i's - yet another characteristic of
Noni. She followed up with the seller's agent every point of the way.
Always wanting to be fair and doing the right thing, she would question
the seller's agent for any discrepancy in information. Guiding us
through the tasks to meet the closing timeline and coordinating with the
seller's agent, the title company, the loan officer and us, Noni was key
in finally getting us the keys to the new home.
A few paragraphs of mine will not do justice to all her efforts,
however, I wanted to ensure her talent and efficiency is recognized in
her profession.
